Team USA and Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Paul Martin will be unavailable to play for the American side on Friday as a result of a hand injury sustained during the Olympic games.
Per Josh Yohe of Triblive.com:
To follow up on @RobRossi_Trib and @Dejan_Kovacevic reports, just spoke with member of Pens organization who confirmed Martin's hand injury.

Martin was third among defenders on the American team in terms of ice-time, so his loss should be felt on Friday. Martin's also a key defensive contributor for a Pittsburgh team that has battled successfully through an unforgiving multitude of blue-line injuries this season.
Reports suggest that Martin might miss a month of action:
Initial word is about a month for Martin. He has NOT been evaluated by #pens medical staff yet, so until then nothing final in club view.
