Philadelphia Union's Cavan Sullivan: Exits with leg injury after brace

Rotowire• ·

Sullivan was forced to abandon Saturday's 4-1 win over Toronto due to a potential leg injury after scoring two goals, Todd Lewis of The Free Kick Podcast reports.

Analysis:

Sullivan struggled to continue after picking up a late blow in the Decision Day victory, during which he produced a pair of goals through left-footed strikes. While he was able to walk off the pitch, this is a major concern for the Union, as the star youngster had just made it back from his previous ankle issue. With Sullivan ranking third on the squad with nine goals, and adding seven assists across 29 MLS appearances (21 starts) this year, any missed time would be a notable blow to Philadelphia's midfield and attack. Indiana Vassilev and Quinn Sullivan could feature on the wings if the injured player is sidelined in the playoffs.
