Herrera (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's La Liga clash against Malaga after experiencing physical discomfort, according to coach Pellegrino Matarazzo, per Diario Vasco. "The squad is complete. Yangel will be unavailable. He's dealing with some pain and won't be with us in Malaga, so we'll call up players from Sanse."
Analysis:Herrera will miss Sunday's trip to Malaga after developing an undisclosed physical issue, interrupting his strong start to the season with Real Sociedad. The midfielder has established himself as a regular starter, featuring in the starting lineup for six of the club's first eight La Liga matches. However, his latest fitness concern will prevent him from continuing his momemtum, with manager Matarazzo confirming that Real Sociedad will turn to players from the reserve squad to provide additional depth. The severity of Herrera's issue remains unclear, and no timeline has been established for his return to competitive action.
