Simms scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Monday's 4-1 victory against Newcastle United.
Analysis:Simms found the back of the net in the 81st minute after latching onto a loose ball inside the box after Newcastle lost the ball near their own box. Simms, making his 150th appearance for the Sky Blues, took advantage of the situation and drilled an unstoppable shot past Lukas Hornicek. This was his first goal of the 2026/27 campaign, but he hasn't started a game since the season-opening loss to Arsenal. It wouldn't be surprising if Simms remains on a bench role now that Taiwo Awoniyi is set to return from his three-game suspension.
