Analysis:The Panthers announced late last week that Marchand would miss approximately six weeks due to a left leg injury he sustained Tuesday against the Kings. As a result, it isn't surprising to see him placed on injured reserve, and he could also move to long-term injured reserve at some point. Given his initial return timetable, Marchand could return to action sometime around mid-to-late November.
