Grans was placed on waivers Monday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Analysis:Grans was a healthy scratch in Sunday's 4-1 loss to Carolina after he blocked one shot in 12:26 of ice time in Saturday's 5-1 defeat against Boston. If he clears waivers, the 24-year-old blueliner will probably report to AHL Lehigh Valley.
