The Packers aren't planning on opening Parsons' (knee) 21-day practice window this week ahead of Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis:Parsons had previously noted in the early stages of training camp that the Week 6 matchup with his former team was a realistic target for his season debut. The 27-year-old ultimately won't be ready to play against Dallas, and while the Packers remain hopeful he'll be able to return to action at some point in October, his absence looks increasingly likely to stretch into November since he has yet to resume practicing with the team. Green Bay hasn't indicated that Parsons has experienced any setbacks from the torn ACL in his left knee that he sustained Dec. 14, as the team may simply be taking a deliberate approach with the star pass rusher's recovery.
