Mainoo (undisclosed) is out for Tuesday's UCL match against Atletico Madrid, according to manager Michael Carrick. "They've not travelled, both picked up issues in the game on Saturday. We're working through that."
Analysis:Mainoo played the full 90 minutes in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Tottenham but missed Manchester United's training session Monday, and Carrick effectively ruled the midfielder out for Tuesday's matchup. The loss of Mainoo means Carlos Baleba, who made his debut this past weekend, could be handed a bigger role in midfield since Manuel Ugarte (knee) is also out.
