Barzal (knee) has been skating on his own, but there is no timeline for his return, according to Andrew Gross of Newsday on Monday.
Analysis:Barzal hasn't played yet in the 2026-27 campaign. Once he resumes practicing with his teammates, a clearer picture of his timeline should emerge. Barzal posted 19 goals, 72 points and 184 shots on net in 81 appearances for the Islanders during the 2025-26 regular season.
