The Dolphins elevated Washington from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Analysis:Washington's promotion to the active roster gives the Dolphins backfield insurance in case Jaylen Wright (foot) is unable to play against the Bengals on Sunday. If Wright is ruled out, then Washington and recent waiver claim Kaytron Allen would operate in rotational roles behind Ollie Gordon.
