Ball (rest) has been ruled out for Saturday's preseason game against the Heat.
Analysis:Ball will get a breather Saturday, with Bones Hyland and Terrence Shannon get the start in the backcourt. Ball's next chance to take the floor is Monday against the Knicks, though his playing time will likely be limited until the Timberwolves' regular-season opener against the Heat on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
