Xhekaj (undisclosed) won't play against Detroit on Saturday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Analysis:Xhekaj missed Montreal's last two practices and will sit out at least one game. He hasn't earned a point in two appearances this season, but he has collected two shots on goal, three hits and one blocked shot. Kaiden Guhle (groin) will replace Xhekaj in Saturday's lineup against the Red Wings, as the Canadiens will go with 11 forwards and seven defensemen.
