The Eagles released Dalton on Friday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Analysis:The move comes after Dalton was demoted to QB3 duties last Sunday against the Rams. The veteran opened the season as Jalen Hurts' backup but entered Week 3 against the Bears for four offensive snaps and tossed a back-breaking interception in the end zone on his lone pass attempt. Tanner McKee will serve as the QB2 moving forward.
