Donaldson recorded 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), one rebound and two assists in 15 minutes during Thursday's 128-118 preseason victory over New Orleans.
Analysis:Donaldson made an encouraging impression in limited action, shooting efficiently from the field while connecting on two of his three attempts from beyond the arc. The rookie guard will look to build on the performance as he competes for playing time in Miami's backcourt, though his path to a consistent regular-season role remains uncertain.
