Wood was recalled from AHL Toronto on Friday.
Analysis:Wood was brought over from Columbus as part of the Kirill Marchenko trade but has yet to get into a game for the Leafs. Even with his elevation to the NHL roster, Wood is far from a lock to play in Saturday's clash with the Avalanche, as he would need to edge out the likes of Zach MacEwen or Benoit-Olivier Groulx.
