Talbot was the first goalie off during Friday's morning skate, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against the Penguins.
Analysis:Talbot didn't appear in either of the Blue Jackets' first two games of the regular season, but he appears set to make his regular-season debut Friday. Across 34 regular-season appearances with Detroit last year, he went 12-9-6 with a 3.19 GAA and .883 save percentage.
