Howden scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Maple Leafs.
Analysis:The goal was Howden's first of the season. The 28-year-old has gotten a chance to open the season in the top six, but with two points through five games, he may cede his spot to a younger forward like Trevor Connelly or Braeden Bowman at some point. Howden has added 10 shots on net, seven hits and a plus-1 rating while seeing minimal power-play time.
