McNichols (quadriceps) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.
Analysis:The Commanders opened McNichols' 21-day practice window to be activated from IR on Wednesday, but it's still up in the air whether that activation will happen ahead of Sunday's game versus the Giants. He'll likely at least have to manage a full practice before returning to game action, and Friday will be his last chance to do that for Week 5.
