Rahm (personal) will not be participating in LIV Golf 2.0 according to his lawyer, David Rumsey of Front Office Sports reports.
Analysis:Rahm's lawyer announced his decision during the LIV Golf bankruptcy hearing that is still currently ongoing. The proposed terms of the new LIV Golf league were "unacceptable" to Rahm and he will not participate next year. He might not be the only LIV player who is electing to not play going forward. That opens the door for a return to the PGA Tour, but CEO Brian Rolapp and company will have to decide the terms of how that'd work. Brooks Koepka was able to return last year from LIV Golf after making a $5 million joint donation to charity, and he was ineligible to be a part of the Player Equity Program for five years. Rahm could also play a full year in 2027 on the DP World Tour like Patrick Reed is in the process of doing this season to earn back status on the PGA Tour. Rahm was slated to play the Spanish Open this week, but wanted to be home for the birth of his fourth child.
