Mangiapane (lower body) was put on injured reserve Wednesday.
Analysis:Mangiapane's placement on IR is retroactive to Sept. 29, which is when he sustained the injury during a game against Vegas. He's considered week-to-week, so while the 30-year-old can be activated at any time, Mangiapane isn't viewed as being close to returning. Dominic Toninato was summoned from AHL Rockford in a corresponding move.
