Suniev was called up from AHL Calgary on Wednesday.
Analysis:The Flames also recalled Jonathan Castagna on Wednesday. Suniev has an assist in two outings with AHL Calgary in 2026-27. The Flames had just 12 healthy forwards on their roster, so adding Suniev and Castagna gives them extra options going into Thursday's tilt against Colorado.
