Fens (not injury related) is out for Friday's exhibition game against USC, according to Spencer Haskell of On3.com.
Analysis:As of Haskell's injury report, Fens remains ineligible. North Carolina's team will use its eligible players, so he will not be part of its plans Friday. Fens' availability is worth monitoring for the remainder of preseason games, as him not playing them will indicate that his ineligibility is unchanged. UNC will visit Indiana (Oct. 18) and host UNC-Charlotte (Oct. 27) before kicking off the 2026-27 season Nov. 2 against Western Carolina.
