Romanov (undisclosed) was hurt Tuesday versus the Rangers and is undergoing further evaluation, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Analysis:Romanov left the contest during the third period and was unable to return. Head coach Pete DeBoer indicated the Islanders will know more Wednesday. If Romanov isn't able to play Thursday versus Chicago, Matt Kessel or Scott Mayfield will check into the lineup.
