Hawkins had eight carries for 32 yards and hauled in all two targets for 11 yards during Friday's 35-33 defeat against Pittsburgh.
Analysis:Hawkins saw 10 total touches, while Jeffrey Overton Jr. was good for 22 total backfield touches. Hawkins has fallen behind on the depth chart, sitting clearly as the No. 2 option. However, he averaged 4.0 yards per rushing attempt against Pitt, to just 2.7 YPC for Overton, so Hawkins might not be going away quietly into the night. He'll try to make the most of his chances at Cal on Saturday, looking to carve back a larger role for himself in the offense.
