The Panthers waived Tyus on Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Analysis:Tyus was signed to the Panthers' active roster Sept. 30, but he's now off the 53-man roster as the team anticipates the return of Trevor Etienne (ankle) from injured reserve following the Week 5 bye. Assuming he clears waivers, Tyus will explore his next options and should garner interest from teams looking for backfield depth and a returner on kickoffs.
