Pyyhtia (lower body) was placed on waivers by the Blue Jackets on Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Analysis:Pyyhtia began the regular season on non-roster injured reserve due to a lower-body injury he sustained during the preseason. However, his placement on waivers indicates that he's moved past the issue. The 24-year-old will head to AHL Cleveland if he clears waivers.
