Grimes finished with 16 points (5-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and one assist in 19 minutes during Monday's 127-103 preseason win over the Kings.
Analysis:Grimes drew the start with Austin Reaves (ankle) and Collin Sexton (lower body) unavailable and didn't commit a turnover during an efficient Lakers debut. The 26-year-old is competing for a starting spot and should have a significant role regardless of where he ultimately lands in the rotation.
