Penn State's head coach Matt Campbell announced Tuesday that he expects Howard (lower body) to be out for at least a couple of weeks, Greg Pickel of On3.com reports.
Analysis:Campbell recently updated Howard's recovery progress, which the head coach described as good, so it looks like there is still a chance that he does not miss most of Penn State's season because of his lower-body injury. But with the wide receiver still out for at least a couple of weeks, that would mean he misses games against USC and at Michigan. On the positive side, resting those matchups and PSU's subsequent bye week would let him return just before November, though returning that month may be slightly more likely.
