Veleno (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.
Analysis:Veleno will miss at least the next three games, starting with Tuesday's matchup against the Islanders, following his placement on the IR list. However, it's unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup. Veleno hasn't earned a point in four appearances this season, but he has contributed two shots on net, five blocked shots and seven hits.
