Smith gathered in 2 of 6 targets for 85 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 33-14 victory versus Samford.
Analysis:Smith reeled in a 31-yard touchdown pass for his first career score. The wideout caught only two passes but made the most of both opportunities, totaling 85 yards. He has established himself as a reliable deep threat, averaging 22.3 yards per reception. This could serve as a breakout performance for him, considering no UAB pass catcher has consistently stood out in the passing attack this season.
