Bowers tore up the Syracuse defense with 163 rushing yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns that were career best and also led UConn as the Huskies lost 42-41 overtime to the Orangemen on Saturday.
Analysis:Bowers also caught a pair of passes for 16 yards. Bowers will be looking to hit triple digits for the second game in a row as UConn takes on Temple on Oct. 10. The Owls defense is in the middle of the nation against the run.
