Packers' Brandon Cisse: Neck injury not long-term issue

Rotowire• ·

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Cisse isn't in the concussion protocol but is tending to what is believed to be a short-term neck injury coming out of Sunday's 17-14 win over the Buccaneers, Weston Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports.

Analysis:

The rookie cornerback tallied six tackles before making a late departure from Sunday's game due to the neck injury and to get checked for a concussion. Fortunately for Cisse, he doesn't appear to be dealing with a significant issue, though he's not yet in the clear for the Packers' Week 5 game against the Bears. He may need to practice fully by Friday to avoid carrying a designation into the weekend.
