Edey (ankle) completed a full on-court workout Monday but won't play in the Grizzlies' preseason game against the Hawks, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports.
Analysis:As expected, Edey will be held out of the Grizzlies' preseason opener, and it's not yet clear whether he'll play at all during the preseason. However, the big man is trending toward suiting up for Opening Night after undergoing surgeries on his left elbow and ankle in March.
