Toropchenko (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Monday, per the NHL media site.
Analysis:Toropchenko was already expected to miss at least six weeks, so his IR placement won't impact his timeline. The move will give the Blues some roster flexibility, potentially for an AHL call-up.
