Lopez completed 20 of 27 passes for 265 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 57-3 victory over Stanford. He also had 12 rushes for 88 yards with three touchdowns.
Analysis:Lopez was accurate through the air, but the impressive part was his work with the legs. He had a game-high 88 rushing yards and three scores, and that was his highest rushing total since he dropped 105 yards at Appalachian State on Sept. 19, 2024, as a member of South Alabama. The three TDs were a career best, and just the second time he has multiple scores on the ground. He ran for two touchdowns in a game at Louisiana, also with USA, on Nov. 16, 2024.
