Topic (back) will not play in Tuesday's preseason opener against the Pelicans, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.
Analysis:Topic had been limited during training camp, so it's unsurprising that Oklahoma City will take a cautious approach with him in the preseason opener. The 21-year-old will travel to Tulsa, and his status will be worth monitoring ahead of the Thunder's remaining exhibition contests.
