Hollins will be South Alabama's starting quarterback over Bishop Davenport moving forward, though their competition will continue, Creg Stephenson of AL.com reports.
Analysis:Hollins replaced Davenport under center after the latter suffered an undisclosed injury in mid-September. Even though Davenport was available for action by Week 5, Hollins started and impressed, which explains why he remains South Alabama's top option at quarterback going into Week 6. In the Week 5 game against Louisiana-Monroe, Hollins logged 14 completions for 321 yards and three touchdowns without a single turnover.
