Payton finished with six points (3-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT), two steals and one assist in 11 minutes during Sunday's 104-101 preseason loss to the Clippers.
Analysis:Payton made his usual impact defensively in limited action, recording two steals without committing a turnover. The 33-year-old re-signed with Golden State on a one-year deal during the offseason and should remain a situational defensive option in a crowded Warriors backcourt.
