Robertson was being held out of practice Monday for "roster management reasons," Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.
Analysis:Robertson could land on the waiver wire later Monday, or there could be a trade in the works, but either way, the 25-year-old defenseman looks unlikely to play against the Islanders on Tuesday. With the emergence of Alberts Smits, the 25-year-old Robertson has yet to get into a game for the Rangers this season and has become an expendable piece of the roster.
