Buchanan (lower body) has returned to his club for further evaluation after suffering an injury following a tackle during Canada's match against Peru, according to the Canada national team.
Analysis:Buchanan's status for Saturday's clash against Real Madrid is uncertain while he undergoes further assessment. The winger has yet to record a goal contribution across seven La Liga appearances this season, including three starts on the left wing, while totaling 11 shots, eight chances created and 24 crosses. Nicolas Pepe could move into the starting XI if Buchanan is unable to feature.
