Rice recorded six carries for 34 yards during Sunday's 20-16 defeat to San Jose State.
Analysis:It's the first time that Rice has been limited to single-digit carries this season (both he and Cam Barfield totaled six attempts), as Hawaii was forced into a pass-heavy game script after falling behind 14-0 in the first half. Through five games, Rice has totaled 276 yards and three touchdowns on 59 carries while bringing in 12 receptions (on 19 targets) for 64 yards and an additional score.
