Alves accrued three receptions (on four targets) for 121 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 20-16 loss to San Jose State.
Analysis:Alves provided a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing night for Hawaii. The senior would finish as the Rainbow Warriors' leading receiver, highlighted by his 58-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter, his first of the season. Alves, who joined Hawaii as a transfer from Virginia Tech in the offseason, had totaled just four receptions (on 12 targets) for 46 yards in his first four games this year.
