Mbappe (knee) was spotted back in Madrid on Monday and will resume training at Valdebebas in the coming days, with the hope of being available for Saturday's clash against Villarreal, according to DAZN.
Analysis:Mbappe spent the international break recovering in Paris with the club's approval, as the knee injury prevented him from returning to full training. His return to Madrid and the training ground in the coming days will mark the final stretch of his recovery, though Real Madrid could still manage his workload carefully against Villarreal given the knee issue. Mbappe has been firing on all cylinders this season, racking up seven goals and two assists across seven La Liga appearances. If he is unable to feature, Carlos Espi or Endrick could step in to lead the line.
