Markstrom stopped 18 of 21 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks.
Analysis:Anaheim's power play was the main problem, as Cutter Gauthier scored twice and Mikael Granlund tallied in overtime. Markstrom didn't face a lot of volume otherwise. He has allowed three goals on 36 shots over two games this season, so the Panthers' defensive structure has been effective to shelter the goalie. Florida wraps up its season-opening road trip against the Kings on Tuesday.
