Humphrey did not play during Saturday's game against Notre Dame as a healthy scratch, Andrew Jones of 247Sports.com reports.
Analysis:North Carolina used only three wide receivers (Trech Kekahuna, C.J. Sadler and Jordan Shipp) against Notre Dame. Jones' description of Humphrey, available and not injured for Week 5, indicates that the senior was UNC's first man out of the WR rotation. At least it looks like Humphrey has a clear role as WR4, but it means that if the Tar Heels are in a highly competitive game, he may be their best wideout not to play.
