Kochetkov turned aside 16 shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers.
Analysis:Making his 2026-27 debut, Kochetkov fell behind 2-1 on a Matvei Michkov tally midway through the second period, but the 27-year-old netminder shut the door the rest of the way as the Hurricanes mounted a comeback. Kochetkov appears to be firmly behind Brandon Bussi on the depth chart, but he should still see 25-30 starts on the season in that role if he can stay healthy.
