Tel came off the bench and scored the winning goal in France U21s' 3-2 victory over Luxembourg on Saturday, securing qualification for the 2027 European Under-21 Championship, according to the club.
Analysis:Tel made the difference off the bench against Luxembourg after replacing the injured Jean-Matteo Bahoya in the first half. The forward enjoyed a productive international window, also scoring while playing 86 minutes against Iceland after logging 78 minutes against Estonia. Those performances could provide a boost after his role at club level diminished before the break, with Omar Marmoush moving ahead of him on the left wing. Tel remains without a goal contribution across four Premier League appearances, including three starts.
