Hawkins was 11-for-23 passing for 227 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 45-42 defeat to Iowa State. He also had 20 rushes for 149 yards with two touchdowns.
Analysis:Hawkins recorded yet another monster rushing performance in the back-and-forth loss. The Mountaineers may have fallen short, but Hawkins continued one of the most valuable trends in fantasy football, delivering elite quarterback production through is legs while still making enough plays as a passer to punish defenses. At this point, the rushing output is no longer a hot streak but the foundation of his fantasy profile, and it gives him a weekly ceiling few quarterbacks in the country can match. If this pace continues, Hawkins has a legitimate path to finishing as one of the biggest fantasy difference-makers in the country this season.
