Payne posted 14 carries for 77 yards and caught all four targets for 23 yards during Saturday's 17-10 defeat versus Brigham Young.
Analysis:Payne once again led the bulk of TCU's backfield work against BYU. The biggest fantasy takeaway is the volume. Payne is averaging 17.4 rushing attempts and 3.6 receptions per game, giving him a healthy workload of roughly 20 touches every week regardless of matchup. That type of usage keeps Payne firmly in the RB2 conversation, even when TCU's offense sputters. While his weekly ceiling may be capped unless the Horned Frogs start finishing more drives, the combination of rushing volume and receiving involvement provides one of the safest fantasy floors in the Big 12.
