Frondell picked up two assists Saturday in a 4-3 loss to Buffalo.
Analysis:Chicago was outscored 11-2 by Vegas and Utah in its first two defeats of 2026-27. The Blackhawks mustered just 15 shots on goal for Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen on Saturday. Frondell logged 16:06 of ice time while posting one shot and one hit against the Sabres. The assists were his first points this season. The team's compete level was far better Saturday than earlier in the week, and Frondell's job will get easier when Connor Bedard (shoulder) returns. Until then, temper expectations.
